Mary Robinson (Communities for Future Summit 2020)

As the first woman President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary shares her experiences of female leadership and her involvement in the Chair of Elders, an independent group of global leaders working together for peace, justice, and human rights, founded by Nelson Mandela. She highlights the importance of a critical mass of female voices in our world for a more collaborative, holistic and problem-solving way of exercising power. She believes that the upcoming Doomsday Clock events will bring more awareness to the urgency of our times. Mary asks us to make climate crisis a priority in our personal lives while underlying the importance of dreaming the world that we want to create.
