| Extinction Rebellion will join up to 200 other groups in a week of spicy and non-spicy global actions in London and at least 37 countries worldwide. Think oily money out! |

Without insurance, fossil fuel companies cannot dig new coal mines, build tar sand pipelines, and expand oil and gas production. To keep the earth’s temperature rise below 1.5C, insurance companies must stop insuring oil and gas expansion and so accelerate to transition to clean energy. |
| We will be calling on Insurance companies to:
1. Immediately cease insuring new and expanded coal, oil, and gas projects. 2. Phase out, in line with a credible 1.5ºC pathway, insurance for coal, oil and gas companies. 3. Divest all assets, including assets managed for third parties, from coal, oil, and gas companies that are not aligned with a 1.5ºC pathway.
