Not for the first time, the XR Bath Facebook page has been ‘unpublished’ by Facebook without any warning, making the page unreachable to all of our followers on the platform. The justification given by Facebook is that the page is “similar to one that we’ve previously removed for violating our Community Standards.” Going by this vague information, we have no idea which other group, or what violation of the standards, are being referred to.
We have appealed this decision by Facebook, as yet without response. It appears that other XR groups in the UK have recently experienced the same problem, and we are considering whether to join with a legal action being prepared against Facebook.
In the meantime, we will be making use of the XR SW Facebook page to keep in touch with our followers on the platform.
